Hardware Control Framework
Tonix is an object oriented framework that is developed to facilitate hardware control and robotics projects.
It consists of user-level hardware drivers (a.k.a tonix drivers) and built in classes to program different applications. Its unique design keeps the application logic independent from the underlaying platform and the hardware components. Built-in JavaScript engine allows to program all application logic fully in JavaScript.
Tonix comes with a multitude of built-in drivers for money collections hardwares, rf-tag readers, smart card readers, sensors and servo motors. It can be easily extended through a plugin mechanism. This rich set of driver support makes it a good candidate for rapid prototyping and product development for robotics and embedded systems.
Tonix is currently supported on Linux, Embedded Linux, all Windows platforms, Mac OS X, Windows CE operating systems and x86 and ARM platforms. It is possible to run Tonix embedded or remotely.
